      Unhappy A Newbie's got a problem :(

      Hello everyone,
my name's Mr. Game, but my friends (and forum friends) can call me James

I already read some of DV tutorials, and I made 3 WILD attempts. I'm also trying to practise RC and DR. (as you can see, I'm also very familiar with LD's vocabulary)

I wanted to learn how to LD, 'cause by life is boring. I don't have a girlfriend (all my female friends are lesbians or they already have someone ), videogames no longer excite me, and overall I'm living a boring and pointless period of life. I was also considering suicide, but that would be a waste of my remaining lifespan.

I was also excited about creating my own worlds, plots and stories (like Death Note )

My main problem is that I always fail the transition phase of WILD. When my dream is about to start (many dream-pieces following each other), I can't "unplug" completely my mind from my physical body. Practically I can feel only my face, and when I move a hand or something I completely regain the feeling of all my body (or a major part).

      HELP FOLKS!

Welcome to DreamViews James! So glad you decided suicide would be a waste, we don't want that.

WILD's are a pretty advanced induction technique. Why don't you give MILD or DILD a chance? Also, have you thought about starting a dream journal? And what are you doing for your daily RCs?

Yeah, I started a DJ, I had 2 well-remembered entries, and I couldn't remember my last 3 dreams. As my RC I look at the time on my phone and I try pushing a finger trough my hand.

I'm also trying to ask my friends to continuously ask me "Are you dreaming?" in order to remember to do a RC, and hoping that this will penetrate to my dreams and I'll start dreaming my friends who ask me that in the dream, giving me instant lucidity after an in-dream RC.

Did I forget something important to a newbie?

EDIT: I started with WILD as it looked interesting and relatively simple (I need some preparatives to MILD)

EDIT2: HEY, is anybody still here?

It's pretty poor advice, but trying to fall asleep will probably benefit you. Or you can pay attention to the dream fragments that are starting to appear, such as noises, pictures ect.
For 3 attempts that is really good, so just keep at it!

BTW, last night I had a really short lucid dream. It was a MILD.
You can read it in my DJ.
