      Why hello there!

Hello! My name is Rebel of old and I found you guys via the google. I discovered lucid dreaming from Reddit and found their posts very informative, but the community on that subreddit is a little... lacking. I kept running into this website when looking up lucid tutorials and decided to sign up! See you all around.

      Welcome to the forum!

We do have some wonderful tutorials in the DV WIKI which you should find useful in deciding on a method or in learning methods of controlling your dream content.

We also have an online dream journal system that allows you to post your dreams to aid you in your efforts, or you can make them public and get feedback on them. It's a great way to improve your skills and become part of the community.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a private message by clicking on my profile picture.

      Happy dreaming!

Hello Rebelofold, glad you already found the DVA section and tutorials! How long ago was your first LD? What was it like for you? What techniques did you use, and what are some of your goals for LDing?

Hope to see more of your posts.

Whelp to answer in order, my first LD (since actually learning the definition of LDing) was about 2 months ago. It was extremely short, but exciting! I flew for about 10 seconds. It was a DILD. My goal is to learn WILD, I have been practicing nearly every night for the past 3 months or so, and have methodically been documenting what works and what doesn't, changing variables as I discover them. I am so far up to the stage of seeing still images will having hypnagogic imagery. So all in all my goal is to science the hell out of WILD for myself until I can do it whenever. When I do have lucidity, dream control is a snap.

And once again thanks for the welcome! And I must say I enjoy your gentleman's companion cube. You are a fine bunch of people, and as soon as I have a more educated perspective I hope to add my voice to the forums!

Not bad at all, Rebelofold! I try WILD occasionally when I do a WBTB, but it's pretty difficult for me. You must be extremely determined to WILD for 3 months! But it's good that you've been seeing some progress with that. There are so many different ways to WILD, you'll find something that works well for you some day! When you do, share with us how you did it. Maybe you'll wind up making your own technique!

You're reading the tutorials, I'd say you already have an educated perspective. All you need now is the practical LD experience (as do I). Good luck!
