Thread: Hey guys

Welcome to Dream Views! You will learn alot from this site. It took me at least a month for my first LD, so don't let yourself get down! I have been lucid dreaming for like 2-3 months now. I have only had 3 lucids, but I will keep training. Good luck, keep trying .

Hey Daxx, welcome to DV. Do you care to share which techniques you've been using to try to have a lucid dream? Have you been keeping a dream journal? What's your dream recall typically like? Why did you decide to try lucid dreaming, what drew you to it?

DV also has a sub-forum called the DV Academy, there are some courses that help members with specific LD techniques, general LD skills and a class for beginners! This forum has a ton of information, so look at some of the guides or the wiki and enjoy your stay.

Hi Daxx! I am glad you found us. My first LDs took a couple of months work, but it is worth it! Do not get discouraged if you don't get lucid right away. Take the DVA classes for Beginers and the MILD/DILD class. Read the intro to LD tutorials.
If you need help anyone with a star or 5 near their name are people who will help you navigate the site or may be able to answer your questions, so you can PM them.
Step One: work on being able to remember your dreams (recall) and write them down. You should start a Dream Journal on this site.
Step Two: Pick a basic MILD trick from the DVA class, and stick to it.
Step Three: Learn about Reality Check (RC) from the forum and start doing them right away.

Hmm well I've been trying the DILD technique but so far no luck...I'm using my phones notes widget as my dream journal, but I plan on switching to something that I will be able to have forever. My dreams aren't very vivid and I think I should start paying attention to my surroundings a little more, and when I found out about lucid dreaming and the control that you can have over your dreams I just thought that I should give it a shot. I looked around the DV Academy forum and it seems really interesting I didn't know that there were courses for the techniques there though , I'll have to go check it out!
