I usually awake from false awakenings pretty quick. And it's probably just mere moments of waking up from my bed in my dream. |

evening all... im fresh blood but ive come bearing a question ive been looking for answers to.... False awakenings.... in the last few years ive become aware of these happening in which i spend days or more believing im awake only to re awaken to find the entire day was actually a dream.... its starting to shatter my concept of reality... these awakenings have reoccurring characters.... almost as if im leading double lives.... i was wondering if such incidents are common and perhaps im just over analyzing and allowing my fear to take over.... any thoughts from those perhaps more experienced than i? |

I recommend you get some rock solid reality checks that you can rely on, maybe breathing through your nose while holding it shut with your hand. even if you cant wake yourself up from the false awakenings, you should be able to realize you are dreaming, should help you figure out what's real and what isn't. |

As Ksero suggested, be sure to reality check every time you wake up. The more you practice increasing your awareness, the more you will be able to tell the difference between dreams and reality. If a false awakening lasts more than a few seconds, you should be able to figure it out. |

Yes, I agree with Robot_Butler and Ksero about practicing reality checks. |
