Smile Not so new here but seeking mastery...

Hey there guys... I've been a long time lurker of this site, had minor successes here and there. So I've finally decided to register.

I had my first LD as an accident really long ago when I was still in my teens and ever since then I've been passively reading up on it. Trying techniques I read on the internet.

The one that currently interests me the most right now is the 'All day awareness' technique. Seems a little difficult, but I'm sure I can make it if I put my mind to it.

I'm hoping that I can have a good place to journal about my experiences and chat with people who are possibly better than me, or going through the same things.

I am also an experimenter - always looking to find new an effective ways to do things. So I would not be surprised if I end up writing up a guide sometime in the future. But who knows, right?

One of the coolest things I've experienced during my lucids is high jumping. The feeling is amazing and I can't really explain it into words, but if you want to go and give it a try just get some 'magic shoes' that let you jump way up high into the sky.
Use these to jump all over the place and have fun.

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all in the site =)

Hey r11bit, welcome to DV! Glad you decided to join up. So which techniques are you using now to have LDs?

I'd like to do ADA at some point too, but for the time being I'm using Sporadic Awareness Technique, similar to ADA, but not quite as tiring. I've done high jumping in a non-LD before. I was on a horse, it was terrifying and exhilarating. Everything became slower while I was in the air. Definitely something I'd like to experience again.

Oh, and feel free to post some of your LDs in the DV dream journal section! Or you can post what your first LDs were like in your thread, I always like reading people's experiences with LDs.

Well a couple of days ago I stumbled upon the timer technique from lucidology... and that seemed to bring some results. I can feel the sleep paralysis but I haven't gotten past it yet.

Thanks for bringing SAT to my attention Caenis!
I looked it up and it seems interesting. I'll be sure to give it a good read right away.

I'm already thinking of writing down more of my experiences on the dream journal, but I'll start in the morning XD
It's already 2AM here and I'm starting to get sleepy. So I'll be back for that tomorrow!

So good night peeps! ... and happy lucids!

      Welcome to dv!

Check out the Research Subforum if you'd like input from the community on any various dream related experiments you conduct.

Good luck with ADA, stick with it and you'll reap the benefits.

      Happy dreaming ^^
