      My Return to Lucid Dreaming

      Hi!

A while ago I used to read about Lucidity and attempted it a few times via WILD and DEILD. I had many dreams although none were lucid. I stopped attempting lucid dreaming some time ago, because of boredom and lack of faith. Although now I am eager to achieve a lucid dream as the experience will be beyond belief. I've started taking a dream journal and performing reality checks. It's surprising when I look back at my dreams in the journal, because I begin to notice patterns and similar scenarios / scenes. I tend to dream the most when I naturally wake up in the morning and go back to sleep, so the DEILD method seems like my best option for success right now. I can actually achieve 5+ dreams in one morning if I were to repeatedly do that method. I'm finding that I'm asking myself 'Am I dreaming?' more often in my dreams, although I am woken up by my own excitement. I look forward to many dreams and being apart of this community.

      Hey and welcome to dv!

Seems like you're off to a great start, just remember, you have to stick with this is you want to reap the benefits.

I'd start off by reading http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/ , even if you've done some reading before- it can't hurt to refresh your memory.

Try exploring the Wiki as well, you may find some very useful information there.

When you enter your dream, take a moment to calm down and collect yourself. Stabilizing your dream might help too, you'll find a tutorial on dream stabilization in the wiki, but HERE is another one for you to read.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. There are lots of awesome people here and only a small minority bite.

Good luck and happy dreaming ^^

      Welcome back!

Sounds like you have it under control. No worries, the more experience you have the longer your dreams may be, because you will learn to control your excitement in a dream. Happy dreams
