      Hello from IsaacQuest

So I found this site trying to find music for dreaming, then I started dreaming and stuff. So yeah, any forums that would be good for a noob at ld'ing, or such would be good. I once had a dream where I was controlling it with what I was saying, and I was still awake. This happens every 2-3 weeks, and it's pretty weird. Any name for it?

Welcome to Dream Views! Can you explain a little more about your dream? I may know what you mean, but I would love to hear any details before I comment. I am glad you found us!

You were still awake, you mean in the dream? There aren't that many different kinds of dreams or stages, but three of them are non-lucid, lucid and sleep paralysis. There's also OBE and AP but they're a bit controversial and haven't been proven scientifically.

I was awake in real life and in the dream. I was calling out everything that wa happening in the dream. I wa chasing a man who stole my mothers purse then kissed her then ran, we were in a gymnastics place for some reason, and I started chasing him, then I got super strength or something and ramme him into the wall. This dream is the one dream that I most recall and remember, I remember the colors, the shapes of everything, etc. I have been keeping a journal documenting this stuff, as I have learned that sleeping wile listening to music helps me lucid and dream all together. I have ha successful dreams while listening to music 3 times, and I tried it 3 days. Ld'ing is awesome.

I would call it an extremely vivid day dream. I am not making light of it. The same part of the brain that causes dreams can become activated by wandering or focused imagination. I can experience LD like day dreams that seem a little more real than some of my weakest LDs. So, good for you, you are starting with a tool that will provide lots of fun over the years. Do I consider this an LD? Not for the purpose of a competition thread, or in claiming I have such and such amounts of LDs, because it is really contraversial. It may as well be a low grade LD because it can be very fun. I am sure it is an awesome method of setting up a MILD or getting a firm image of what you want to attempt in a lucid. People talk about doing WILD during an early day nap, and it is largely the same thing. If they loose track of 90ish % of bodily awareness then I would call it a true WILD. If you are still aware of your body, I would count it as a minor sub-class of dreaming, that is LD like.

Well, I have had 2 successful Ld's in the past four days. But they have been weird. One has been the same as descripted, but the other one, I was in a movie theatre and a girl I like came by, while she did I es texting with a piece of cardboard, and I told my body not to look over. Ha. I hope to become active in the forums, thanks for the welcoming.

      Welcome to the forum!

It sounds like you have had some decent luck with lucid dreaming recently. I applaud you!

This site is pretty big and there is a lot of information. A great place to start is our Attaining Lucidity section of the forum.

This DILD Tutorial is also good reading: http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/all-da...gyoshi-113253/

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. You can post them or click on my profile picture to send me a private message.

      Happy dreaming!
