      An intro from MasterG174:D

Hi, I am an 18 year old male who has been interested in lucid dreaming, astral projection and other paranormal things for quite a while now. First learning about astral projection from a friend in 2009, completely by mistake, I've been interested in it ever since among many other paranormal things. Funny story about how I found out about Astral Projection actually.

In 2009, my friend used to have trouble getting to sleep at night and so used a binuaural beats application on his iPod Touch that would help him to get to sleep. For those unfamiliar with what Binuaral Beats are, they affect the brainwaves by playing two slightly different tones in each ear and the difference between the two tones puts your brain into a different state. For instance 210hz in the right ear and 200hz in the left ear, would produce a tone of 10hz. Anyway this application also had one for Astral Projection, my friend said he tried it after reading the description of it but he thought it was just some kind of fake dream comprised reality. If he had known what it really was, he probably would have never told me about it. When I told him the real nature of what it was, we kept it a secret between us because we were attending a christian school and Christians often think paranormal things such as astral projection are occult, demonic or in some way evil.

So we tried many different techniques, CDs, binurual beats and what ever else we could find to try induce an out of body experience, but to little gain. Other than some new found energy perceptions and states we never truly got out. Along the way we also discovered what lucid dreaming was and how it may be related to astral projection as well. When I started writing down my dreams, I discovered that I would have far more lucid dreams than usual...however my dreams and involvement in lucid
dreaming stopped for a period of time due to the business of school and to this day hasn't exactly resumed as much... I really do need to be writing down my dreams again, even dreams from the previous days can help in increasing chance of LD, I've had a few vivid ones past few days.

Oh I should say that my friend did have one AP experience...a member of another site pulled him out of body. Although he remembers little details of it, only fragments that coincided with the description the member who pulled him out gave.

Here is where problems began however...In 2010, my friend slept over the night and we used a Ouija board (A channeling device to communicate with spirits). We got little results with it, but we must have opened up some kind of portal because later on during the night we heard a heavy breathy sound coming from the door. We prayed for it to go away and about 10 minutes later it did, but we didn't get to sleep that night.
This wasn't a one off either, because in 3 other instances from November 2010 until today, it has returned. I moved house in December 2010, and it seems to have followed me because I've heard it on a few other occasions. About 6 months ago, the spirit woke me up as I was going to sleep, right over my bed. I jolted out of my bed faster than I ever have before, fear encapsulating my body, I opened the door, raced through the hallway, hearing the spirit's breathing echo in the bathroom as it followed
me where I walked. I continued on into my living room and stood there. A few feet away in the kitchen I could hear the breathing still. Eventually it did disappear, but I decided to sleep out of my room for most of the night, before going back into my room at around 6am. It then visited me a third time and this time I didn't even care anymore, I was just annoyed at it and asked it what it wanted. I then asked Pontus (My Spirit Guide) for it to go away and to my surprise it did:O, maybe just coincidence but I was happy that I could get to sleep.

I also am friends with someone here by the name of MasterMind. We met each other from my friend who has now published a book online called "Entering the Phase". They added each other on MSN and I added MasterMind as well when 12padams (my friend's alias) added him. And then we became friends because of our similar interests in the paranormal, lucid dreaming and wanting to find the answers to life and purpose. There's another story about how our beliefs have changed over time, and what we still are kinding of hoping to happen some time by the end of this year, but I can share that information later as it's quite long and confusing to put in this post.

Anyway, recently I've been becoming a lot more interested in Lucid Dreaming and AP once again and have been trying to see if I can induce these states. once I get into a habit of writing down my dreams maybe I will have more lucid dreams again. I'd love to try and convert a dream to an out of body experience too if that's possible...many believe when you dream you're out of body too just not aware...so maybe it's possible after all. I am very glad to join this community and look forward to my time here, in what I can learn and contribute.
