      First timer!

      Shazam!

What's up everyone, I'm Dugg. I'm currently living around Pittsburgh, PA (GO STEELERS BEST TEAM EVER IN ANYTHING WOOO!!) and I joined this forum because I recently got myself re-interested in lucid dreaming. To date, I have had 2 lucid dreams, the first one ever was a WILD that lasted about 1/8th of a second in dream time, LOL. the second lasted maybe 2 minutes. But more on that later. I have, as I said, recently become re-interested in LD'ing because I'd like to try to use lucid dreaming to help myself overcome unproductive lifestyle habits (enforce new neural paths and prefrontal cortex development etc...) and because I feel like laying in bed for 8 hours is just LAZY! haha.

So I'm kinda tired right now, I don't expect this to be a super coherent post. But I'm mostly looking to learn more about dream control and getting consistent with LD'ing. I've been keeping a journal for dreams and I'm at the point where I can reliably recall at LEAST 1 dream per night though it's usually anywhere between 1-4.

Looking forward to getting to know the community and learning from you guys (and girls, I assume lol) and maybe helping others to learn as I develop my own skills/techniques.

      Peace off for now!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

You have definitively come to the right place to get back into it. Check out the WIKI and other tutorials around the forum. Are you going to continue with the WILD technique or are you going to choose a different technique? If you have any questions, just ask!

I'll be mostly trying to get this WILD thing (no pun intended) down because i feel like it would also impact my meditation (the process of the two seem very similar based on my curent understanding). But, I just posted in the Research section about a galantamine regimen and I've been trying WBTB LD because I've heard that's the best way to get an effect from it (so far that technique has yielded 1 of the 2 LD's I've ever had), though it wasn't the conventional WBTB it was more...

wake, take supplements, try to go back to bed, fail miserably, lay in bed for 3 hours until finally deciding to go make breakfast, eat, watch the news while drinking some coffe, then suddenly feel very tired, lay down in bed in the most bizarre position imaginably, close my eyes and the next thing I remember is this maniacal laughing bouncing back and forth from left to right in complete darkness then wham, I'm in a room and I'm like "lol wut, if I'm dreaming looking at my hands will tell me, and sure enough my hands literally were sine waves, awesome", proceed to have a lucid dream with no actual control of the contents.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

The very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

      Welcome DuggFunnie

You seem to have made good progress already. Although this forum will help you progress even more!

Dream Journaling is a good step on the way to mastery Remember though that lucid dreaming is no different than football when it comes to mastering it. You can learn from guides and tutorials how to throw the ball corectly, and the rules from the game, however mastery comes form within, you learn by doing.

You recall will increase in due time and so will your lucid dreams. I wish you sweet dreams.

      Peace off dude!
