Welcome buddy!
This forum will help you a lot I think, because you are in the right way but have common problems, here you can find tutorials and advice about almost anything related to the topic, and people are cool too! It's an LD heaven! What you are experiencing is very common, it is doubt that can be overcame mostly in two ways.
1. Confidence. There is one rule that never betrays you, and anyone can confirm it. When you seriously doubt your reality in a regular day's routine(and you are not on any drugs) you are ALWAYS dreaming. Because you aren't so experienced in consciously being in the dreamscape, you may have other problems, like shame. I had dreams where I was 100% sure of my lucidity, but tried not to be ashamed in front of the dream characters. You HAVE to be cool, if it's a dream, it's a dream, trust yourself and you're half way there!
2. Reality checks. Once you are sure, there's no reason to doubt. If you aren't aware of this already, I want to introduce you to a lucid dreamer must-have, called REALITY CHECK. There are some actions called reality checks that when you do them, they seem different in dreams than they seem in reality, so you can ensure you are dreaming by performing those. There are many out there, but I'm gonna say my favourite, because it works always. It's called the nose-plug. You simply close your mouth and your nose by pressing it with the thumb and index finger, so you can't breathe at all. Then, you try to breathe. If you are awake, you can't, but, if you are dreaming, air comes right inside because you are not actually holding your nose in reality! So next time you are in a doubt, reality check once or twice and start having fun. This one is my favourite because it always works, unless you have more than 2 holes in your nose! There are others like looking at your hands to see if they look strange or trying to poke your fingers through your palm, but they don't work sometimes and the doubt remains!
I hope you read the introductory tutorials (all of them) and never quit evolving this great gift our brains offer to us.
Have fun!
