Hi everyone! New here and would like some quickanswers.

hi, im new to this lucid dream training.
i already had a couple of lucid dreams (like 1 or 2) and other dreams, dunno if they are important, which i think its real then i wake up and think "oh that wasn't real"

im starting my dream journal. today was my first record.

what im doing on my "training" atm is:

      1- keeping a dream journal.

2- practicing awareness and RCs on daytime: really believing i am in a dream and do RCs to secure i am not.

3- repeating a mantras all day long which is "next time i am dreaming ill look at my hands and realize i am dreaming"

4- MILD before getting to sleep. repeating my mantras or imagining i am in a lucid dream.

atm my routine is quite lite and not time consuming.
not doing the waking up in the middle of the night things cause i dont really want to interrupt my sleep much to write down dreams and stuff.

      any suggestions of improvements?

      ok now the questions:

      a) i daydream alot and create my own realities. I do this all in 3rd person, like i see myself on the daydream. Should i try change this and do stuff being myself (1st person)? specially before going to sleep to try induce a LD.

      b) any sleeping position recommended? i usually sleep face down hugging the pillow.

well atm those are my questions but as days pass ill add some more.

      Welcome!

Make sure your RC's are more than trying to push your finger through your hand, really question your reality whenever you see something strange or out of the ordinary.

A: Yes, I believe that visualizing yourself in 3rd person might trick your brain into thinking you're only watching someone else.

B: Nope, sleep the way you feel is most comfortable. People have reported reaching SP more easily if they're sleeping on their back, but sleeping positions shouldn't affect your dreaming.

Always visualize in 1st person. When you are daydreaming, take yourself from where you are and what you feel right then and then go to where you want to be, either by teleporting, flying, running. I do this a lot when laying in bed, so when I have a FA I know exactly what to do, and when I go lucid I don't need to think too hard about where to go to have fun.

      AND

welcome to dreamviews! Seems like you have read a lot about LDing, I would recommend Exploring the World of Lucid Dreams. I do not know anyone that has read through it without getting a lucid dream. The people with 3 stars above their name are here to answer any questions you have.

      My personal opinion:
Count every barely lucid as lucid
When you wake up you start questioning whether or not it was lucid, but when you were asleep, you knew you were dreaming
count all layer zero lucid dreams
But not as lucid dreams, just as a win
      enjoy all dreams
Sometimes you might go on a dry spell, but don't worry about them. Love all your dreams. Nothing keeps you from having lucids then thinking that you are in the middle of a dry spell
      Set goals
OK, I stole this from Stephen Laberge. You need to set goals, how many LDs you want by the month's end, what you want to do in those lucids. Set long and short term goals. Don't make them too hard that you get disheartened, but don't make them a walk in the park (Actually that sounds like a fun dream to me )

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. There is no quick answer to your question, but the Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
