i figure i should do this. i used this site five years ago or so but couldn't remember my screen name and i don't have a clue what email address i had back then.
so here i am again! really five years is long enough for me to forget almost everything i read on here (and i only actively used this forum for a couple of months) and certainly for everyone to have forgotten about me (i didn't really do much but post a few questions about how to lucid dream... like everyone else lol!).
anyway hello... again! glad to see this site still exists.
i'm practicing lucid dreaming again for spiritual and philosophical reasons as opposed to adventurous ones like i was years ago. i want to find my spirit guide, access the akashic records, learn to reach enlightenment in the dream state, and lots more. i'm a skeptic about most things but inside the mind there is no such thing as "false" and "real" it's all mind so it's all relative! if your mind can make an "akshic library" and it's a link to your subconscious or (sweet ambition) the 200,000 years of instinct in the human brain then that's good enough for me! i'm also very open to new information. just because i'm skeptical doesn't mean i don't want to believe in things or that i will refuse them. most things i cannot find direct proof for i just leave open. if someone asks me if i believe in reincarnation i say "i'm not sure. i have no reason to believe in it but i leave it open." and so on with other similar questions.
i'm a minor expert in theravada buddhism (key word "minor", i don't know everything and compared to a major expert i know very little! , i know a little about zen, and a tiny bit about vajrayana and have read a book or two on dream yoga.
other than that i'm just some guy, i love movies, books and every now and then i like video games. i love studying culture and religion, history, and space/the universe!
