I've had moments where I start twitching and my back or my knees feels desperate to rise up? Has anyone experienced that?
That sounds like you are starting to go into a meditative state? I meditate successfully all the time as part of my religion and one of the first signs that you are successfully entering one is different for everyone. Some peoples legs start to feel numb and heavy, others legs start to tingle in a positive way, and another way, what happens with me, is your legs start to feel light, like they want to float up into the sky. The farther you go your whole body will eventually feel this way, then when that's done you can start delving your mind into the meditation. When you try to enter a WILD do you completely relax your body? Muscle twitches are just what your muscles do when they release tension.
I do the entire WBTB idea with WILD but the problem is I can't relax and then I can't get myself back to sleep, I just feel more awake.
WILD is notoriously hard for beginners because you are keeping your mind in an aware, awake state while trying to dream. Beginners find it hard to find that balance between awake and dreaming. the state is a fine line, the single slightest waver in mind set will either push you back awake or delve you completely into a dream, then next thing you know you're waking up thinking "well crap..." What I tend to do is while I'm already sleeping I try to get to the point where I become aware of that I am dreaming then slowly start to wake myself up, then stop when I reach that point of a perfect WILD. It's easier then trying to bring yourself down into a dream from an awake state.
When I'm about 10 minutes in WILD I see a bright flash infront of my eyes? When this happens my heart starts racing like mad, my eyes are moving around like crazy and I give up. Any idea how I can resolve this?
The longest I have ever been able to keep myself in a WILD is probably about, hmmm, 20 minuets on average in real life, which feels like a couple hours in the WILD, before I loose it and wake up. You have to keep you're mind calm, when you freak out or get too excited you are guaranteed to loose it, but if you get too calm you will fall fully asleep. Like I said, you have to find that fine line. You are better off keeping completely calm yet aware, then when you feel yourself slipping into the dream, ever so slightly ease off back to the right point. It's better then keeping lightly calm then slipping into wakefullness and trying to bring yourself back down, most of the time you will just wake back up.
I hope my experiences have helped you and didn't confuse you any, let me know how the next attempt goes
