      G'day all :)

      Hey all,

      Thought I might drop in and get a bit more serious with Lucid Dreaming now that I have a few months free of anything. Have only ever achieved one very short (20 second) lucid dream in the past and now go through episodes of amazing dreams to weeks of horrible dream recall, that's what you get with a hectic and stressful year :/

      And with that I just want to say hi to the community and hopefully get to know you all sometime in the near future

      Edit: I've gone through various posts, but for some reason I cannot connect to the Chat. Does it require a certain post count or...?

      Hello Cobber, welcome to DV!

      Chat does not have any requirements aside from being a member. Sometimes users have trouble connecting, but there are alternatives. Have you tried entering your name with an additional karat? like "Cobber^"

      You could also use other links to get to chat, here is a link to the irc tutorials: IRC Clients Manual - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

      If you dont have an irc client, I suggest you use the mibbit one:

      address is Mibbit.com Webchat client
      click Server and type in 'irc.dreamviews.com'
      click Auth, choose 'pass' and type in your dv password
      type in your dv username in the 'Nick' field
      type #dv or #dvlounge in the 'Channels' field
      Click connect!


      Tabs on the top are the different chat rooms, you'll be automatically connected to the main ones. To private message someone, click on their username on the list on the right side and options will pop up.

      Congrats on our first lucid. First ones are usually short, no worries. And you can help your recall by writing your dreams into a dream journal. We have a pretty neat system here on DV that you can use, in addition to your paper or Word DJ that you may wanna keep. Read up and give us a holler if there is anything we can help with.       Get my results on 18th and ATAR on the 19th, so in a few days time I'll either be really happy or pretty depressed lol.

      Aha good question, I played cricket when I was in primary school and hated every single bit of it (well batting was good). Can't stand to watch it now I'm afraid
