if you don't chew big red than F*** you!

haha just kidding but I hope that title isn't to off the wall but i figured id come in a little silly =p

Ive been familiar with lds for a number of years.
was quite the fanatic at first, tried + combined all techniques to failure, talked a lot about it, told any one who would listen, teach techniques and stuff... i really thought i was helping the world =p

a lot of people tended to look at me a little crazy.... and eventually i felt a little crazy cuz i was having no success... (so many friends convert after that damn inception movie, "omg gliders do you know what lding is?!?11") :face palm:

So i took a break for some time... got kinda burnt out... busy too...

Now I'm going through an interesting time in my life and i kinda want to get back into it, and figured posting and registering would help, as I'm active in other forums, but suuuperr busy in wl...

Originally i was going to come and just ask people to tell me what to do, as I'm superrrrr busy mostly and can't really do homework to get "caught up" so to speak on what i need to do.... thank goodness for the dv academy??? i hope its helpful as i have a direct place to go to....

It almost seems like it takes a lot of work and effort to be lucid? or is that on a case by case basis....? or maybe its the mistake of CONCIOUS "effort" and "work"

Is there help for motivation for that? i dont want this to feel like a chore but i dont want to waste the potential of my mind any longer.....

also...does any one have thought on escapism or preferring an ld to wl??

      Hey gliders, welcome to DreamViews!

When I saw the title I didn't know what to expect

Being active in the DV community will definitely help with lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming does take work/effort but it's like that saying "If you love your job you will never work a day"

Inception is a good movie, I just re-watched it the other day for World Lucid Dreaming Day. It also brought more awareness to lucid dreaming and made a lot of people find out about it. There's all kinds of things you can do for motivation, books, video games, movies, and tv shows are all great for staying motivated. You can also read people's dream journals, here are two that I recommend:

Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views - Hyu's Adventures - Dream Journals
Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views - CanisLucidus - Dream Journals

      Here are some helpful links:

If you want I can fix the typo in the thread title for you

Post a thread or PM a Dream Guide if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy it here, see you around!

if you can edit the typo that would be great!

could you imagine if i had gone on some big red rant??? i couldn't even if i wanted to i honestly dont like big red that much lol

Inception is a great movie, it came out at such a weird time in my life too its all crazy.... and i was merely pointing to the fact that friends had no interest until hollyood made it cool...and some friends still have no interest.... insane i thinks...

Are "dream guides" mods? or how does one get such a title...?

      Edited

      I actually love big red

That would be quite annoying, to have told people about it for a while and then inception comes out and they ask you if you know what lucid dreaming is ><

I'll never get the disinterest some people have for lucid dreaming, it's crazy.

Dream Guides are part of the DV staff that help members with any on-topic questions, like dreaming, lucid dreaming, or helping them around the forum ^_^
