Thread: Newbie with a confusing dream

Hello everyone! My name is Tasha and I'm new here.
I had a very strange dream last night and I was hoping you may be able to help me understand what it means.

I was in the kitchen at my church, with a large group of people from our congregation having a party before a wedding for one of our fellow church members; when suddenly I noticed that everyone was staring at me like I'd done something horrible.
I looked down and I found that I was completely naked! My dress had disappeared out of thin air. I was horrified and my best friend's mom handed me a large napkin. I unfolded it and placed it over my breasts and ran out of the room looking for a place to hide and find some clothing. But every room I went too was occupied with loads of people and I couldn't hide anywhere.
No one was laughing at me. Every one was scowling like I had deliberately stripped off and was being naked on purpose.
No one would help me either. Even my own mother was scowling at me like she thought I was a brazen hussy for daring to take off my clothes.

I woke up pretty soon after that. I never found a place to hide nor did I find proper clothing.
This dream really bothered me. Can anyone tell me what it means?

Dreams where you are naked are fairly common. I wouldn't worry about it or place too much meaning on it. It's certainly nothing to be distressed over. I had one of my first lucid dreams this way, actually: I was running across a lot, naked, and suddenly stopped and said, "Oh yeah right! Me, naked in public? Nah!" If it becomes a recurring theme, you can use it to help you gain lucidity. Have fun!
