      Hello and pleasant dreams!

Sometime last October '2013 I looked on Youtube for "Lucid Dreaming". I had read a book about it when I was in my twenties and found it fascinating but did not pursue it until recently. Now that I'm recently retired I have lots of time to be able to dedicate to learning about it. I have had dreams of floating above tree top level and being able to guide my direction and speed at will in the dream but not realizing or knowing if it was just a great dream or if I was lucid and didn't know.
The Youtube video described the easy steps to lucid dreaming. Keep a dream journal, look at your hands as many times a day as you can think of it, and ask yourself..."Am I dreaming". I tried this and within a span of two weeks had six LD's.
The first was so strange just looking at my deformed hands woke me.
Eventually I found this site and have learned a lot. I've only had one quick LD since my first string of six and an almost LD (alarm woke my while looking at my deformed hands).
I have been having dreams of former bosses (now deceased) from two different jobs harassing me and I want to tell them to go pick on someone else, this is my dream and besides, I don't work for you anymore...and by the way...you're dead!

Anyway....hello to you all and sweet dreams!

Welcome to the forums! That's awesome that you had that much success with lucid dreaming, especially in such a short amount of time.

I hope you find what you need here so you can have more lucids and stick it to the man!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. In the meantime, here's a red panda saying hello:

"Going through life worrying about the little things is like cooking with motor oil instead of cooking oil. Sure, you can still probably pull it off, but it'll leave a bad taste in your mouth in retrospect." - Me, apparently

      2015: 101 LDs, 2016: 114 LDs, 2017: 38 LDs, 2018: 20 LDs, 2019: 8 LDs

I third these guys--that's quite a bit of success for a short period! Let us know if you have any questions. If you want to keep track of your progress, I suggest starting a workbook in the DILD class. Fogelbise and FryingMan are awesome teachers. Good luck!
