      Hello everyone!

      Hello,

I'll start with introducing myself. My username is Eddie Dean, which is not my actual name (it's Kevin) but I don't mind being called either. I'm 19 years old, male, and from the Netherlands. I am currently in my first year of university, studying Psychobiology (nicely related to dreaming ).

I've been interested in dreaming all my life, so when I first heard about lucid dreaming (approximately 3 years ago) I was really enthousiastic. I quickly found this community and started looking at guides and techniques. Unfortunately, I had very little succes in the first half year of my practices and my interest slowly faded. I tried on and off over the years but I tend to do things too intensively for a very short time and then give up because I can't keep up. In this period I have had 3 lucid dreams (only counting those that lasted longer than 10 seconds). My biggest issues were inducing lucid dreams and stabilising them (as is the case with any beginner). I could never really dedicate myself to continue active practice, so my results never got much better.

Lately, mostly because of my studies, my interest in lucid dreaming has increased once again. I even had my first layer 3 lucid dream (although really short) a week or two ago. My current approach is to not try too desperately and to not spend all my time on it, so I can hopefully persist in my efforts this time.

I do not have particular burning questions at this point, and after 3 years of lurking I'm well acquainted with these forums and most concepts and techniques involved with lucid dreaming, but I think that finally signing up for these forums and being active here will serve as a great motivator and inspiration for my efforts.

      Greetings,

      Eddie Dean
