      Newbie from Portugal (Hi!)

      Hello everyone.

I recently just found out about this forum, and honestly just also recently became aware that Lucid Dreaming is a thing.

I never gave too much thought on it, but I've had some lucids before actually realizing what they were.
Now recently, about 1-2 weeks I found out about the forum and have been reading some histories and actually getting some ideas to try on my own.
I hope to improve my dreams and lucidity

Something that gets me really angry is that many times I can't run, looks like I go on slow motion, as well as when I'm flying, always there's a lack of gravity that makes my body to behave like a spaceship having to turn around and push a LOT to be able to brake and change direction.

Anyway, I'll try to resume my double experience with LD this week,
At first I was in some kind of house and became aware of it being a dream because there were many missing objects. After it became lucid, I tried to move and couldn't, although I forced the move like some kind of translation but couldn't leave the house since I was surrounded by walls. I tried to go through them since I knew I was dreaming and I could eventually appear on the other side and see what was there, but this actually brought me to a black limbo.
Even though I tried to create a new world from this black limbo it was really hard to get it sharpened, I remember after it became sharpen that I lost lucidity for a while.
Being a double experience, I regained awareness when I was walking on some random city by trying to alter the world without still having consciousness, and the fact I tried to alter it gave me the awareness for lucidity, after this moment unfortunately I cant remember much more.
Sadly this one was quite quick but I've had some for bigger moments.

      So, Hi all.

      Welcome to the forum!

I'm very familiar with the feeling of being unable to run. A lot of time in old dreams, I would try to run, but I would kind of bounce with each step and start to float up, sort of like trying to run on the moon. But as I've started to practice lucidity and study my dreams more, I haven't had that feeling, and often low-gravity situations like that make me realize I'm dreaming.

Anyway, let us know if you have any questions, and feel free to check us out in the IRC chat.

Yea, I'm also trying to study the sleep more. This topic is getting me excited now every time I get lucid (a few more minutes the last night).
My next step is improve the sleep memory since apparently I forget most of my dreams. But for now, I'm taking small steps and trying to get a daily mindset that helps me getting lucidity.

Long time haven't heard about IRC!!
For sure I'll take a look in the next few days, when I'm more free from work.

Well, imho I feel that each lucid dream, giving the fact that it is not a real world, but it's a place where actual physics and psychics don't work as we all know, it's in general a bit trippy ...
But I guess we could agree not every LD.
