      Hello Every!

Hi everyone, you can call me Gamma. I am somewhat new to the forums, by that I mean that I used to LD back in 2005-2009. But eventually RL caught up with me and had to leave my LD adventures to a more passive approach. I now just watch my dreams passively without trying to LD. I find it more interesting. I have more than over 100LDs under my belt but I lost the ability to LD when desired. I've come back because I've been having reoccurring dreams that trouble me and keep me up at night and I would like to LD again to regain control of the situation.

I am very open to suggestions and very friendly. I'd like to say that DV's was my home years ago and where I learned to LD. I no longer have the desire to LD everyday or to control my dreams. I like to watch them very passively and quietly and enjoy what they are trying to tell me.

I'd like to meet all kinds of people of different backgrounds, I am very open and outgoing to almost all topics and I'd like to hear from all of you.

      Thank you for reading. -Gamma

      Welcome to the forum!

It's great that you have that experience from years past, but it's totally understandable if you prefer to take a passive approach to LDs - there's still a ton to learn just from the experience itself.

Let us know if you have any questions, and feel free to stop by the IRC chat.

      to DreamViews, gamma!

Well, since you know that you can LD, maybe now, after a break, it will be easy to start again. Since your mind may treat it as something new and it will get excited about lucid dreaming. I find that excitement helps our mind to pay attention to our practice, so it sticks better.

Check out our DILD and RC tutorials here Induction Methods and Techniques for the start.

I love my non lucids and I also prefer to just observe my lucids, rather than control them. But it's always fun to do something that you can't do in WL.

Happy dreams and let us know if you have questions.

      Welcome Gamma!

One thing that helped me re-shape my dreams (both lucid and non-lucid ones), was the simple but very effective use of mantras. I used to have quite a few bothersome dreams and with the help of those mantras the contents of my dreams changed. Maybe this approach can also help you deal with any reoccuring dreams without putting too much stress on lucidity and dream experiences.
Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
