      Hello, looking for help

Hello im new here, im looking for help and such.

Im trying to do lucid dreaming, ive had no success with MILD but i found SSILD to have given me two near experiences in the last week though havnt had any in the past 6ish days.

I have a good dream memory, i remember several dreams almost every night now, last month i remember 10 dreams, usually its 3-4 but 5 or 6 isnt that uncommon as well.

Welcome! Sounds like you are on the right track, how frequently do you practice SSILD? Also, it doesn’t hurt and can even help to rely on more than one induction tech.

      Got any advice on that?

EDIT : I guess ill add some stuff, I try to practice it once a day at least when i wake up but no success over the last week as said before, am a bit worried bout it that im doing it wrong, like im not sure if i should count hte length or guesstimate it.

I think mild never worked cause of my adhd, so my lack of attention would go into the dream.

but SSILD seems to work cause i had two near lucids as i heard and felt things, music and such, i juts want another near one

      Hey Allonzey123, welcome to Dreamviews!

For relying on more than one induction method, you could find different ones that appeal to you and either take turns every other day, one week with one and the next week with another, or you could fit multiple methods into one night. Also, throughout the earlier phases of the night do DEILD and then later do WBTB with MILD, etc. There are a lot of possibilities within this. I would suggest reading and finding the right ones for you and working out a viable strategy that sounds comfortable to you.

You mentioned how your lack of attention can go into your dreams. Do you mean lucid dreams when you say that? Something I recommend is attention training. If you wanted to pursue MILD, that will help with the induction technique as well as keeping your attention in the right place during your dreams. One way to achieve this better level of attention is through meditation. Vipassana is a style of meditation where the practice is clear concentration on a certain object or objects. Just like learning any skill over time, whether that's an instrument or craft, through repeated attempts you will get to a place where your concentration ability will strengthen.

If SSILD seems to be working for you then continue to explore it.

Best of luck to you on your LD journey!

Worried im doing stuff wrong, MILD had NEVER worked for me, which feeds the paranoia im doing it wrong.
But SSILD has given me several near lucids in the last 10 days (2), but i never got any more after those two, hence the fear

What are you worried that you're doing wrong? For us to help you better, maybe you can provide more details like what all steps have you been taking to practice? Have you been doing any daytime practice? Reality Checks? Etc.

Also, what source did you use for reading about MILD? If you haven't, you could try reading Stephen Laberge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. Stephen Laberge invented this technique and in reading that book, it will give you the proper setup in order for it to work like prospective memory training and such. You might have already read that or you might also just not want to try MILD any longer. If that is so, that's okay.

Continuing SSILD sounds good if you think it is working.

From my understanding, almost all lucid dreamers go through dry spells. I know I definitely do. It is nothing to worry about.

      Okay thanks.

In terms of MILD i mostly tried reality checks and using naiya's guide, i did read laberge's book however and it gave me confidence at times as i noticed i was near lucid at times in a few dreams but that was 2 months ago and i never got lucid.

I do believe i can be lucid based on those two and the near lucids i had a few months back, but its annoying and demotivating, my dream memory is decent, i usually howver round 2/3/4 dreams, usually they can be described in a paragraph, a few nights ago i had my first dream where i remembered a flavor.
