Thread: Introduction of Melli

Hello!

The screen name I usually go by is Melli. I've been interested in lucid dreaming for a while, and had a bit of an experience recently with one.

I'm an Iraqi-American; I'm of Iraqi heritage, but I live in the United States.

Some of my hobbies include going out for walks, crocheting, learning new things, playing table-top games with friends (D&D, Cluedo, etc), and so on.

My Current Goals with Lucid Dreaming

My current goals include:

• Learning more about WILD and DILD techniques
• Establishing habits of Reality Checks (RCs) and practicing techniques
• Creating a Dream Journal
• Become more mindful and aware of myself, both for personal and lucid dreaming reasons
• Finally: Actually being lucid in dreams and controlling them!

My Current Experience

I have little to no experience with lucid dreams. The last one I had was a few months ago (and prior to that experience, years before), where for about 30 to 60 seconds before I woke up, I realized I was dreaming. I do remember that towards the last 2-3 seconds, I felt my eyes open IRL, but I was still viewing the dream. Then, I woke up and it ended. Recalling this experience made me want to pursue lucid dreaming.

Welcome to DreamViews! It's great that you've already had a couple lucid experiences, and it sounds like you've got a good plan to start getting them more consistently. This is also a good time to start making a list of cool things you'd like to do in your lucids! The task of the month is a good resource for ideas too.
