Any tips for a frustrated noob?

I've been keeping a dream journal, doing reality checks and MILD:s for over a month now and I haven't had a single lucid dream yet. I know it's normal, but I'm getting frustrated anyways. Does anyone know some good tips that can help me and hopefully others to end the frustration?

      Good advise Tech

I find that meditation helps me in my dreams. When I meditate I'm very aware, likewise it follows in my dream world. Reality checks never work for me. I've been able to turn on lights and haven't been able to put my hand threw things along with the fact that I can read clocks just fine! I find that WILDs are the best for me but they may not last long because of REM sleep cycles and all

Well I've tried WILD many times, but there just nothing except darkness in front of my eyes! Unfortunately that adds frustration!

Hmmm. Well the trick is to keep trying. If you sleep next to your computer you might try downloading a lucid dream inducer program to help you. It plays sounds to preset time intervals. That might work, but I've never personally tried one myself.

      Good luck.

WILD can be a difficult thing to learn! Give MILD a try and keep looking for dreamsigns. I know you will get it!

Moetrix. How many dreams have you been able to recall per night ? On Average. Your recall might not be up to par yet.
      Good luck!

Never give up, it took me about that long too I know others make it sound easy at times but it really is as difficult as you seem to be experiencing. Dont give up and maybe look over the tutorials again.

      Good luck

Well, I sit in my little corner with my fountain. I count from 1 to 10 and repeat. This keeps your mind focused. After maybe a half hour, my my body goes numb. With my body fixed, I send my mind through my body. I sense around for any pains or stress and focus on it. Soon it too becomes numb. With my mind still in focus, I day dream. Sometimes I've gone right into a lucid dream while sitting up. Most of the time I just listen to the water from the fountain and relax. If you try it outside, its quite nicer. Hearing the birds and the wind while warming my soul in the sun... good stuff man! I don't know what stile I have, each person should have their own.

when u go numb...try and relax and let ur mind drift into a trance...from there u can concentrate ur body to leave and go into an obe

I sit in a room lit by candle, sometimes listening to soothing music!
Legs crossed, usually sitting against a wall, and my ass on a pillow because its more comfortable.

      2 questions

      1. What is the difference between MILD and WILD?

      2. With the meditation, eyes close, open, or it doesn't matter? I tend to lose focus with my eyes close because i find myself getting nervous, it's just me i guess. For me, i find it hard to do anything, i just have to trust that nothing dangerous and shit is there, any tips would be appreciated

      1. Well...i can easier answer your question by re-directing you to the TUTORIALS FORUM located on the Index page.
Go to the Lucid Dreaming FAQ

      2. With meditation, you can do whatever you like, as long you are focusing..and you are relaxed, NOT tensed.
