      Post

I would just like to say hello to everyone. I’ve heard about lucid dreaming in the past and was kind of interested in it. However the other day in my philosophy class we were talking about Rene Descartes and how he had no proof if he was dreaming or if he was awake. The subject of lucid dreaming was mentioned and the fact that you can teach your self how to do it. So after a little bit of research into the subject I have found my way here.
I'm pretty new at this... feel free to PM me with any suggestions.

Thanks for the warm welcome, that’s true Descartes probably didn't know about RCs.
Do you all think I should jump right in and start posting my dream journal. I started it last night so it only has one dream in it.

Go on and post away! And actually if you want a more extensive form to fill out when recording your dreams, check out the link to my DJ in my sig. I just registered there today and it seems pretty nifty.

      Welcome on board!

Please feel free to ask any questions you like or send a PM if you like. Now, you will have all kinds of ammunition next time the subject of lucid dreaming comes up. Or at least you can talk about it with your classmates during break.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Thanks again for the new welcomes... I do have a question that if anyone could answer that would be awesome. Is there some special thing I should do before I go to sleep to help myself remember my dreams?

Suggestions to your subconscious always helps... but it's better to do that under the pretences of a Mild. After waking from about 6 hours of sleep, focus on nothing but your desire to know next time that your dreaming. Picture the last dream you were in only with yourself realizing it was a dream. Try and keep all other thoughts away. Most of the time if you do this.... then you're golden.
