Hi im new to this and i just recently learned about lucid dreams through a friend. I haven't actually had a real lucid dream yet a few years ago i became lucid in a dream, but i didn't do anything because i didn't know i could. And just yesterday night i became lucid, but i woke up because I was over excited. can anybody help me please?

hello, and let me welcome you to the forum. congrats on going lucid even though u didnt do anything haha, its ok everyone gets over excited the first time. wat u wanna do first is find a technique that suits you so u are able to become lucid, there is a whole tutorials sections with different techniques to help u out. personally DILD's work best for me which are lucid dreams induced by a dream. Basically i can tell i am dreaming and become lucid. But first wat u wanna do is when u become lucid try and stabilize yourself first, take in the scenery around u, concentrate on stayin lucid. it helps to say phrases like " increase lucidity!" or "Im lucid!". Also take the time out to touch things and observe. Your first couple times ur lucids might not last long or u will slip out of them too fast, no worries in time and with practice u will get better. Sometimes it can be a rough task but if u really want to be good at lucid dreaming u can do it. O and by the way if u get excited when u have a lucid try to calm down a bit unfortunately if ur new at it strong emotions will tend to make u slip out of a LD. well hope that helps if u have any questions feel free to ask!

b6 is a good way to help with dream recall. the simplest way tht some people overlook is just to get a good nights rest and to keep a dream journal. the journal will help u remember ur dreams, as u keep ur journal and notice the more dreams u remember and are writing down the better. the more dreams u remember the closer u are to lucid dreaming. start off with this that is how i started and i was able to go lucid after a little. also when u are going to sleep always go to sleep calm and relaxed dont keep in the back of ur head wat u have to do tomorrow or anything becuz tht will interfere with ur sleep and dreaming
