The stress might be a source of the unpleasant dreams.

If you could get your dreaming under a little bit of control you could use the lucid dreams to relieve some of that stress.

How do you sleep, well? Do you go to bed at the same time every night, get up the same time every day? If not maybe you should try regulate your sleeping pattern if possible. That could help with the dreams as well as get your body accustomed to a fairly regular amount of sleep every night, which in turn might help reduce some stress.
