      Hello Guys, Im new here

Hello everyone, Ive been checking this website 3 weeks from now and been reading about dream recall and practicing it too, but the problem is that Im not able to recall my dreams during morning weekdays, I usually wake up at 5:45 am because I have to go to school, I dont know why i cant recall my dreams, I autosuggest myself every night before sleeping. I remember that last friday I could remember my dream, was kind of akward. Well during weekends I can recall my dreams after some minutes of waking up, now whats next for me, should I practice more dream recalling?, how can I get my first lucid dream?, I know LD is different from ordinary dreams, and when i have one i will remember more easilly than the ordinary ones. My friend has frequent LD, he says theyre awesome. Im anxious to get one, please what should I do next. Thank you

      Greetings, Ace Hood =)

Well, definity start a DJ, sure there's the physical labor of writing down, but I believe that's a good deal considering that in return you can visit your own world and do anything. Do reality checks throughout your waking life, eventually the habit will pick up in your dreams. When they say recalling your dreams they don't mean to just remember, you'd be suprised how much a DJ helps, I'll find certain dreams that I just remember but don't write down, I forget during the day. But keep up the work, you'll get your LD before you know it.

Thank you Xyser, I already got a DJ, but should I write in my journal the days I cant remember my dream? I wrote 7 days where I could remember my dream, actually there was one day that I could remember 4 dreams, was pretty cool. I hope to have a LD soon.

Try laying still with your eyes closed for a minute. Let your mind wander and your last dream should come back to you.

It could also be that because you're waking up so early, you aren't in REM when your alarm goes off. This makes it more difficult to remember your dreams.

      Lucid Dream?

Now here is the thing, today i dreamt about that i was in the water and all of the sudden a shark attacks me, i could see the blood draining out of my body, but then i realized, "Damn how is this possible", and i told myself that i was dreaming, then i killed the shark, i think i was aware that i was dreaming, another thing is that when i woke up i easilly remembered this dream and i felt so much happiness. Well is this a Lucid Dream? If it is, Dream Journal, Reallity Checks, and Mantras had helped me this 2 weeks. If it's a LD is my first One =)

You're doing the right thing, working on your recall and reading about dreaming a lot. That alone should score you some awesome dreams.

As for getting lucid, I think the single most helpful thing you can do is a Wake Back To Bed. If you keep up on your reality checks throughout the day and during your WBTB, you should be lucid in no time.

Wake Back To Bed is where you wake yourself up after several hours of sleeping, get your brain working a little, and then return to sleep. The idea is to stimulate the logical part of your mind that is normally dormant while you dream, so you will have a better chance of noticing dream signs. You also have a better chance of keeping some awareness as you fall back to sleep. Later in the night, you are closer to a long REM period of dreaming, so you have less time to forget that you want to get lucid.

Check out he WBTB tutorial, since I'm probably explaining it poorly:

Lol, just get used to that, my parents are the same way, they think I'm crazy, but my cousin thinks it's awesome and wants to learn about it too. You just gotta deal with that kinda stuff, Or don't bring it up around them.

Haha, yeah thats what Im doing. Since I started trying to LD I have been able to remember almost what I dream every day, so far I just had 1 LD a month ago, I have continued with reallity checks, but I want to have another LD, I do mantras and stuff, but sometimes I just go to sleep without auttosuggesting. What should I do to have another LD?

Keep track of your dreams in a dream journal.

Then try to locate a dream sign.

      Do RCs a lot.
      Bollocks.

The best advice I have is to, once you first wake up, to think about your dreams that you just had for a moment. You may think that you have totally forgotten, but then you may just remember it. So, just remembering your dreams can help.
