      Hi,

Hello all, i am a noob at LDing, and i am just starting to record my dreams. I seem to not want to wake up quick enough to get my thoughts onto paper, and they slip away, any ideas? =S

Well recording is a good start of course. Sometimes that happens to me too. Sometimes later on in the day I get de ja vue and try and trace it to its source which is sometimes a forgotten dream. Good luck ^__^ keep a notepad by bed, and when u wake just write two words that can trigger your memory of the dream. It can just be scribbling in the dark but it might help.

Drink water before bed. You will want to get up if you sleep on a filling bladder, trust me! When you get up to use the restroom, write down the main points in your DJ. When you get back (be quick!), filling out the rest becomes relatively simple.

Also, be sure you are getting enough sleep! Try to get up at around the same time every day.

Good luck, and welcome to Dreamviews!

Stay still when you wake up, don't rush to write them down. Often the act of moving chases your dreams away because it's a different part of the memory. Lay still and go through the dream step by step in your head, that makes sure that it is stored in your short term memory.
