I had a dream like that recently. I was with some friends and we were all acting as though we were lucid, but I wasn't lucid. We were even worried about waking up. I know some people would call that a lucid dream, but it just didn't feel like a lucid dream. I've had lucid dreams where I've had no control at all, but they still felt different than that one I just mentioned. |

Nope. You must know that you are dreaming to be considered lucid. That's the definition. If you know you can control your surroundings because aweidfm, but don't recognize asdjfioaw as "dream," then your thoughts are still jumbled. It's not just a technicality, because differing levels of lucidity can influence behavior in dreams: |

I agree with mr.robot butler. I've had ...what I call semi-lucid dreams. Ones where I seem to remember the rules (I should say lack there of) in the dreaming realm,...how to move, using intent, etc,...but I'm not fully lucid... I suppose this happens in what people refer to as a DILD. It is a DILD,..only,...well..its just that, ultimately you can change EVERYTHING in the dream, but if you let some pre-existing material stay from a previous uncontrollable dream....then you are not realizing your full potential - like you would if you created a new dream entirely. |
