      sort of lucid???

I'm not sure whether this is Lucid Dreaming or not so this is why I ask.
Normally i have this dreams where I dont ask myself if I'm dreaming or admit I'm lucid dreaming but act like it.
Like once I was flying and said "I'm gonna go visit my friend in new York, now that I'm here" then I flew to NY.
Also another time I had an embarrassing experience on a dream and I said: "Wait I can make you forget all that" and make the ppl around forget about it.
so if this lucid or not?

I had a dream like that recently. I was with some friends and we were all acting as though we were lucid, but I wasn't lucid. We were even worried about waking up. I know some people would call that a lucid dream, but it just didn't feel like a lucid dream. I've had lucid dreams where I've had no control at all, but they still felt different than that one I just mentioned.

Nope. You must know that you are dreaming to be considered lucid. That's the definition. If you know you can control your surroundings because aweidfm, but don't recognize asdjfioaw as "dream," then your thoughts are still jumbled. It's not just a technicality, because differing levels of lucidity can influence behavior in dreams:

Also another time I had an embarrassing experience on a dream and I said: "Wait I can make you forget all that" and make the ppl around forget about it.
If you knew you were dreaming, you'd know that they don't really exist, and it wouldn't matter if they "forgot" or not. Still, even someone who is lucid may not realize this (if they are not fully lucid). Lucidity is on a spectrum, with the baseline being "I know this is a dream."

Sounds like you were at least recognizing your environment, and realizing the rules were more flexible. You were just not quite realizing the full implications of it all. Sounds like you were almost there.

I agree with mr.robot butler. I've had ...what I call semi-lucid dreams. Ones where I seem to remember the rules (I should say lack there of) in the dreaming realm,...how to move, using intent, etc,...but I'm not fully lucid... I suppose this happens in what people refer to as a DILD. It is a DILD,..only,...well..its just that, ultimately you can change EVERYTHING in the dream, but if you let some pre-existing material stay from a previous uncontrollable dream....then you are not realizing your full potential - like you would if you created a new dream entirely.
There's ultimate clarity in full lucidity...clarity of what you're doing, what you're cabable of, and the environment itself is so realistic, ...if the rules weren't different there you'd never know it was a dream.

I had something odd this morning. I had a dream I was having a mild allergic reaction to something, and then woke up. I realised I'd just been dreaming, and tried to go back to sleep and go back into it... and SUCCEEDED. That's never happened to me before! Unfortunately, the dream got a bit unpleasant, and I ended up not being able to breathe, and I said to myself "Oh, I'd better wake up from this, then". So I did.

Hmm. That's sort of quasi-lucid, isn't it? What a pity I didn't think to try and control it rather than just wake up. Seems like I might be getting close, though. My dream girl was in it at the very beginning, too, but she didn't see me, and I started having an allergic reaction just before I could go up to her and talk to her! Bugger!
