Hiiii! Well welcome to DV I'll give your questions a try. I think (having just skimmed the first few) that my main answer is going to be 'it depends'. LDing is a very personal thing, and varies by person and by dream, and by effort put in, aides consumed, placebo effects... etc. lol

1. When you are lucid in your dreams how real are objects within the dream? Like, if I were to touch a flower in my dream would it be the same as touching a flower in real life? Depends, both on your 'level of lucidity' and on how vivid your dream is, which depends on a number of factors. Generally speaking, the more you stop and consciously focus on something in a dream the more detail it seems to develop. For me it's usually a question of stabilizing (both lucidity and the dream), and then things will be realistic or even hyper-real.

2. In the dream world, would you see yourself through your own eyes? or some at some other sort of angle? You can have dreams in the first or the third person. Mine tend to be first person. A lot of people seem to blip out to a third-person viewpoint when they do something intense and I have had that happen a few times. Some people dream a lot in 3rd person and a few have posted threads addressing how to become lucid while dreaming like this and how to get into the first person. Again, depends.

3. How long should it take before you have your first lucid dream? Depends Some people get it right after hearing about it. Some people had them naturally. Putting in a lot of effort usually can't hurt, unless you are one of those people who gets way too absorbed and psyches themselves out. Don't stress about it, just enjoy it. Read as much as you can and reality check!!!!!

4. How real is the world itself? Like is it exactly the same as looking at the world while awake or would everything look somewhat altered? See #1

5. (Almost similar to question 1) Are the 5 senses available to you in the dream world? See # 1,4. All the five senses and pain are possible, as well as the ability to induce and experience intense emotions. And orgasms.

6. How long are most lucid dreams? and how long are lucid dreams when you first start out? Again, depends. It is commonly said that newbs will get too excited and will wake themselves up. I still do this sometimes. Most of mine seem to last for a few minutes, a few have seemed to last 40-60 min. Some are ridiculously short. Stabilizing, to me, is the best way to have a dream be nice and long from the start, rather than have to keep using tricks to keep it going when you think you are waking up.

7. At what age would you recommend lucid dreaming to? Birth! (no, really)

8. Are there any dangers to lucid dreaming? Like are there some sort of side effects? Could you die? Just like everything else (water, checking the time, heroin) it is possible to become addicted to lucid dreaming, especially if you are the kind of person who becomes totally absorbed in something because they use it as a means to escape the world. Otherwise, I'm not aware of a single thing.

9. (And finally...) Let's say you fall off a building. Before you hit the ground would you wake up? or would you continue the fall and end up in heaven? What do YOU think would happen? A Neo plop onto the pavement? Float through the ground? Grow wings and fly? Wily E. Coyote pancakes? Death and the experience of your personally supposed afterlife? Something completely unexpected? What do you think is going to happen? As with all lucid dreaming, that is typically what WILL happen.

Good luck to you Let me know if you have any more questions, and remember to just keep reading and reality checking!
