Hi dreamers! |
|
It seems a lot like sleep paralysis. In one part you say you were paralyzed and in one point you say that you can move? In sleep paralysis you can move your face usually. |
|
correction.... I CAN"T move. Sorry about that.... yeah I'm not sure, I've been reading about SP and everyone seems to see things or hear things, mine was just an overwhelming sensation that I could not move and then feeling VERY groggy when I came out of it. It's happened several times and never did I see anything scary or hear any voices. |

Sleep paralysis shouldn't last for more than a minute or two. Afterward, you should enter a dream. (Either that, or you were exiting a dream). If you stay calm, you'll be fine. |

Just keep in mind that sleep paralysis is a natural occurence and cannot hurt you. Actually, it is the very mechanism that prevents you from hurting yourself! |

It is definitely SP. SP is sleep paralysis. Seeing things and hearing thins is HI/HH (hypnagogic imagery/hallucinations). They often are paired with sleep paralysis, but you can experience SP without them. This is definitely good for entering an LD. This process is known as a WILD. It often gives a feeling of fear for no apparent reason. Nothing is keeping you asleep or anything like that, it is just the way body/mind works. It can definitely be frightening at first, but just keep reminding yourself that it isn't real and you can't be harmed. You should stay as calm as possible and don't try to do too much. Just let the process carry out. The idea is that you want to fall asleep, but just remain conscious as you do. If you get any HI/HH just passively observe it and let them come and go as they please. With some practice you will get used to it. Good Luck! |
