      Smile Questions..:) lol

Hey everyone, im new to Dream Views and im really interested in becoming lucid. Ive had certain instances where i can force my self to wake up, or gain minor consciousness but quickly loose it and wake up, like one time i had a dream about being on a computer, and as i was on the computer i could control my blinking and it felt really realistic and i didn't know what to do so i woke up. Ive kept a dream journal but ive neglected it but i recently started to wright it in again, and i have found out a few of my dream signs.

A few of my dream signs are..

      Constant threat of being killed
      UFO's in sky
      Old home town
      Abrupt change (like transferring schools..etc)

Most of my dreams deal with me being killed, i never really die.. but theres always some sort of a threat.

Anyways, im having trouble gaining full consciousness, and im really having trouble with this, but ive been trying. What are some methods that i can do before bed that may induce lucidity?

      Thanks

      Hey buddy,

Welcome to Dreamviews! I hope you enjoy your stay here and you make yourself at home!

Lucidity is a great thing. I remember 4 years ago when I first got into it, I was like, wow its so amazing..

A method I recently started using is called MILD (I would give you the link to the tutorial but it just stated it was unable to connect to the data base)

Basically what you do before bed, while laying down, is tell yourself (aloud or in your head) that you will remember your dreams, and you will remember to do a reality check (at least thats what i say, you can choose what ever you want to help you)

Each time you wake up in the middle of the night since you wont be awake for very long, i would do the method over, the chances of it working are better then when you first fall asleep (in my opinion)

I hope you keep up with your dream journal, it is a big key to becoming Lucid.

If you have any questions feel free to ask the staff, me, or anybody else around here, we are all here to help eachother!

      Dream Lucidity buddy!

Threats and danger are my best way of becoming lucid. Usually as I'm about to die, I think "No, this can't be happening!", and what do you know, it's not happening.
