For the time being I would recommend just going wth the flow until you get a little more experience. Or at least when things start to fade away stop whatever you're oding and look around. |

Not exactly new to lucid dreaming though. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid however in the last few years it has become a real pain to retain lucidity for more than 30 seconds. You see the thing is that when I realize that I’m dreaming I normally try to take advantage of the situation (terrible I know) and when I do my dream dissolves within seconds. When I go with the flow everything is a-okay. I need some good tips to retain lucidity. I wanna have some fun peeps! |

I'd try just easing into it. Start off going with the flow, then try to gently take control. That's about the only bit of advice I can really offer. Like ninja said, more control comes with experience. You may have to retrain your brain, as maybe the techniques used as a kid have lost effectiveness. |

It is very common for an inexperienced LDer to wake themselves because of excitement or a sudden rush of emotion. I personally try to take deep slow breathes (similar to those my actual body is taking) as I explore/interact in my LDs. It helps me stay calm and allows for longer LDs. Good Luck! |

Stick to passive control. Just keep an idea of what you want to happen, and trust that it will. Don't worry too much over the specifics. Go with the flow like you are doing, but expect amazing stuff around every corner. |
