Talking Hello Dream Views! I'm new here.

I've lurked around this site once in while for the past few months, wanting to start to lucid dream, but I never stuck to it. So I finally made an account. I'm confident now, I will become an expert dreamer like all of you!

It all sounds too good too be true, dream control. Is it as great as everyone says? I only remember having one lucid dream in the last few months. Or maybe it was just a really vivid dream. It only lasted a few seconds.

My dream recall is near-terrible, any tips? (I was always to lazy for a dream journal, but it seems necessary)

One last thing, I know I'm rambling. In the past, while trying to lucid dream, I often "dreamt I was lucid dreaming", meaning still thought with "dream logic". It was never vidid, and I never had any control.

      Thanks in advance, everyone!

Yes, good luck. I would suggest to experiment with different techniques intil you find one that works.

You should keep some sort of dream journal. Even if it is a few notes on a scrap of paper, or a voice recording on your cell phone. Make sure dreaming is the first thing on your mind when you wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night. As you fall asleep at night, remind yourself to remember and record your dreams every time you wake up throughout the night.

You'll be having amazing dreams in no time.

Really, I have always been incredibly lazy about recording dreams, but once I got on these forums I MADE myself do it, and my dream recall has improved greatly. I've also had 3 lucid dreams in a week, and I directly relate that to journaling combined with reading about different techniques on the forums and in the tutorials.

I keep a notepad by the bed and just jot down keywords if I'm too tired or lazy to actually write out the whole dream. I don't even turn the light on, I just write big and hope I can read it in the morning. Then when I've been up and had my coffee, etc. I go to the online journal and write the whole thing out.

      Hello and welcome to dreamviews.

Keeping a dream journal is an essential part of lucid dreaming, probably the most important as well. Once your recall is good you should start having lucid dreams all the time. Think of it this way, you could already be having amazing lucid dreams and not remember them at all.

Oh and the better you record your dreams the more vivid your dreams should become.

Thanks for the support everyone! One more thing. I very rarely wake up in the middle of the night. Will morning dream recordings suffice?

While you are falling asleep repeat to yourself that you will wake up after all your dreams and remember all of your dreams. You should be waking up after a dream or two the first night. Good luck
