      Is my brain testing me?

Basically, whenever i try to WILD, after about 7 minutes, i start to get a feeling on a part of my body, like a sting. Since not moving is required to achieve WILD, i try to resist itching. It's easily resistible at first, but it starts getting worse and slightly painful. I also keep feeling like i have to swallow. These two are the reasons i usually give up and just sleep normally. I've had two WILDs so far, and the stinging/swallowing thing didn't happen then.
Is this my brain testing whether i'm asleep? If so, is there any way to avoid it?

Well, don't know where you read that, but you can move and still WILD, just move the least possible so you don't get too awake to enter SP/a dream.

Also, I think you would like to read this thread: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=42271

Ideally, you should be in a position that you can comfortably go to sleep in. This may mean moving around until you ARE comfortable. Or you could simply lay in the position you normally do when not WILD'ing.

As for the swallowing, don't try to resist, it will only prove detrimental to your WILD attempts.
Success comes to those who are not afraid of failing.

If you have an irresistible itch, just scratch it. No biggie.

If you don't swallow and/or have an itch that proves to be really distracting, then the best thing to do is to get rid of the distraction, through either swallowing or itching, until you can focus on WILDing again. Excessive irritiations can actually remove your concentration from the WILD to relatively unimportant things. However, if you suddenly have an uncommon amount of irritations, the best thing to do would be, in this case, ignore them, because they will go away, and you don't want to disrupt your WILD attempt with five minitues of vigorous itching on your shoulder or your butt-cheek or something.
      ...And then to dream...

When I first tried WILDing the first 2 times I had an irresistible itch but after I kept trying it went away.
