1) When you're having a lucid dream and you walk, run, move, etc.. You're not ACTUALLY walking, running, or moving in 'reality' are you?

2) How long after i start practicing all the 'techniques' and whatnot before i might have a lucid dream?

3) When you're having a lucid dream, how long do they usually last, and can you do anything you want?

4) How does a lucid dream end? Like.. Do you just all of the sudden wake up, or what?

That's it for now i think. And i'm REALLLLY stoked about this. Like incredibly. aha. So any answers/tips/whatever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Hi, and welcome to Dreamviews. In answer to your questions:

1). No, you have lucid dreams while in the REM phase of sleep, and while in REM sleep you are in paralasis.
2). How long it takes is subjective; it differs from person to person depending on how much effort they put in, sleep schedule and so forth, as well as personal factors. In general it usually takes about a month.
3). Lucid dreams last as long as the dream does. This all depends on the length of the REM cycle you are in (they get longer as the night goes on). Usually in the longer cycles you'll have a few dreams in the one REM cycle.
4). How a lucid dream ends can happen in a few ways:
-> You are woken up;
-> You wake yourself up;
-> The dream ends and you keep sleeping;
-> The dream ends and you wake up.

I hope that helped, good luck!
