      Important Issue

I have a really embarrassing problem that's semi-related to dreaming. I'm 17 years old and I have an issue a few times a month wetting the bed, merely because I'm dreaming about urinating or on the edge of a dream just thinking about it. How can I avoid these thoughts? Or as soon as these thoughts trigger wake myself up? thanks for any feedback

Hmm...there are a few things I can think of for you to try. You can always perform a reality check every time you use the restroom. Maybe that way you will perform your RC during the dream and become lucid. You can then wake yourself up and use the restroom before you wet the bed.

You could also simply set an alarm periodically throughout the night, wake up, use the restroom (if you have to), and then return to sleep. I would also suggest you avoid drinking liquids just before bed. Good Luck!

      You could try autosuggestion.

I've mostly used it for waking up throughout the night; If you don't mind, you could take that time to get up and use the bathroom.

I guess peeing as much as possible before bed would help (like forcing your self to empty your bladder COMPLETELY) and yeah, try autosuggestion.

Hope that helps. I don't have this problem but those two things SHOULD greatly help it.

Well, have you tried going to a doctor? I'm sure the doctor could help you with stuff like this. Maybe you have a small bladder or something...? Good luck to you!
