      Easy Lucid Dreaming?

I want to be able to lucid dream, but its a bit hard because I'm not very good at recognizing being in a dream (even when there are obvious dream signs). I cannot keep a dream journal because I wake up early to go to school and I don't have the time to write stuff down.

It seems like the easiest way to get a lucid dream is to play some lucid dreaming music from my iPod. I only found one lucid mix from this site (the one that is 30 minutes long, and the guy is saying stuff like "I am aware that I am dreaming," and "I will make sure to check dream signs," and other stuff), but I don't really like it because the voice really creeps me out. Are there any mp3s without a voice?

I also don't actually fall asleep until several hours after I lay down in bed. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing (from a lucid dreamer's perspective).

I've also recently started asking myself "Am I dreaming right now?" at random points in the day. Hopefully this will become routine enough that I will do it in a dream, and then become lucid. I read on the site that I should be looking at my hands when I do that. Is the required or recommended?
