I believe you have to enter the REM cycle, so you need to sleep for a few hours first before lucidity is possible. Unfortunately, its not possible to just go to bed at night and fall into a lucid dream. That is why you must find a way to wake up midway through the night. Otherwise, you should be using DILD, where you become lucid during an ordinary dream. Personally, I find DILD less vivid and realistic, and often harder to achieve. But DILD is more suitable for beginners because its more convenient and easier to understand. |
