      Sometimes vivid.. Most of the time not.

      Alright, I had talked to my dad about dreaming quite a while ago and we talked about the vividness of dreaming. What do you classify as a dream being vivid? My dreams usually feel distant when I remember them, even if I just woke up. My father claims that his dreams, when recalled, feel as close as yesterday. I CANNOT ever get this feeling of closeness. The only time I've ever gotten it is in nightmares, or in bits of dreams, for instance yesterday. I had a dream and only ONE part was as vivid as this, where everything just feels close and.. different. What gives?

      Generally, a dream where it felt as real as waking life.
      Question, does your father have good memory? Maybe it has something to do with that.

      Like Walms stated, those real vivid dreams will seem as real as waking life (while you are within the dream). Many of my dreams seem like distant and faded memories now, but were actually very vivid dreams. This is most likely due to my poor/selective memory (or thats what I've always thought). If the dream is very vivid, it usually doesn't fade from my memory for at least a week or more though...maybe you should try taking some B6 before bed. It may help.

      I take a multivitamin if that counts? Ha ha it's only 100% daily value of B6 though, but it also has many other B vitamins.

      My dreams were never that vivid and only came about twice a week. Since I started a dream journal I get at least 2 dreams every night, and at least 1 really vivid one.

      So you should really start a DJ if you haven't already.

      Oh I have. I have probably 200+ dreams recorded since I started it this year. Xb Does anybody know any good online articles about lucid dreaming? I am doing a report on Lucidity and need an online article.
