      Angry Okay, frustrated...

I'm getting a bit frustrated at this point. For about 2 1/2 weeks I've been habitually performing RCs and being very attentive of my surroundings. I've developed solid recall, and identified one personal dream sign (the random appearance of Bill O'Reilly. Don't judge, he's my boy). I've tried various ads, including apple juice and peanut butter, and nothing seems to happen during my dreams. I never will initiate an RC. Any suggestions for a very frustrated kinda-newb?

Well, straight away I'd tell you not to depend on lucid aids.
Lucid dreaming is different for everyone. There is no quick fix to get a decent LD. It can take days, weeks or months. Just remain persistent, try different methods (I always suggest DEILD to everyone ) and be sure not to get angry. Believe each night you will have a lucid dream, and spend time thinking about lucid dreaming to excite yourself about the idea.
Also, regularly question your surroundings. Are you asleep now?

Well, I'm totally stoked about the idea of lucid dreaming. Nothing appeals to me more than the idea of being omnipotent. It pretty much consumes a good portion of my thoughts, and is starting to ingrain itself in me. I can be in the middle of a conversation, and something will be mentioned, and my subconscious will somehow link it to dreaming and I'll do an RC. I'm awake, I assume, since I didn't just blast a hole in my roof when I willed myself to. I'll work on DEILD. Any good ideas for a first timer on how to do it?

I am experimenting with DEILD again this very night . I will pm you my results. The most important tip is make sure you do autosuggestion (to wake up after your dreams) RIGHT as you get into bed. Two nights in a row I have thought to myself that I would get relaxed before I did autosuggestion and both times I fell asleep before I got to .

Last night I tried to FILD, and I think I attained lucidity until I walked out of my room and ended up in Versailles...

Why did ending up in Versailles ruin your lucidity? Shouldn't it have boosted it?

Try taking a melatonin and WILD. That seemed to help me when I had my first LD.
I once had a dream. That I was eating a peanut butter and tuna fish sandwich. And, lemme tell you something it was delicious. So the next day, I decided to make that sandwich and in real life it is disgusting sandwich.

Well, how it went was something like this: I woke up, and I remember succesfully FILDing, but I was sleeping in the guest room, since my visiting grandparents have my room. After I found I could breath through my pinched nose, I visualized the room and woke up to discover it was morning. I was semi/fully lucid at this point, and excited that the FILD technique had worked, and got up, yelling in order to preserve the dream. I walked out of the room into what normally would have been a second floor hallway, and found I was in Versailles with French police chasing me. At this point the weirdness of it must have hit me and I believe I lost most lucidity, but afterwards I remember summoning the Presidential motorcade and driving across the English Channel to get away from the French cops, remembering that bad stuff tends to happen when the Brits and the French get in a tussle. I'd taken a Latin test that morning and I guess my subconscious was linking it with my history textbook. Anyway, last thing I remember before waking is a big ol' war going on between the French police and the SAS. I guess I need to work on calming down and maintaining the lucidity next time, no?
