my first lucid dream

i was in a normal dream but i wasn't doing anything special so i thought "ow yeah i gotta know im dreaming" so the other moment i was flying over the ocean and it felt pretty real, i could even hear stuff through my ears. unfortunately, i was too excited and i woke up after about 5 seconds. if i wasn't so excited, it would have been a lot more realistic, also because i had the dream at 11:30 so i already slept a lot and i was about to wake up.

I've been through the same. Remember when I flew over the ocean. Was very out of controll so I ended up crashlanding on a island Anyways I'm at a stage where I can remain calm in LDs and not get too exited just becouse I'm in a LD. Just found out today that looking at your hand wasn't a good RC since it takes away the focus from the rest of the dream. Can't wait to the next one, where I'm going to pinch my nose and breathe anyways. After confirming my dream I am just going to walk around and make it as long as possible. I hope this will help a lot when it comes to dream controll. Good luck mate!

Congratulations on your first LD! My first LD was very low level, and eventually turned back into a normal dream. I really must try the ocean - flying idea!

Congrats! I had my first lucid two nights ago all I was fly, too. but only in my backyard.
