HI FELLOW LDs IVE JUST READ IF YOU ARE GOING TO ATTEMPT A WILD YOU NEED TO DO IT @ THE RIGHT TIME OF YOUR REM CYCLE? WHAT EXACELY IS A REM CYCLE ( i know is rappid eye movement) BUT WHAT IS IT EXACELY AND WHEN DO YOU FIGURE OUT WHEN YOUR CYCLE OCCURS? ALSO ABOUT HYPNAGOGIC HALLUCINATIONS PEOPLE SAY THEY SEE STUFF BUT DO THEY SEE THESE THINGS WHEN THEIR EYES ARE CLOSED? or WHEN THEY ARE OPEN?

I think the cycle you're referring to is the sleep cycle in general, which is made up of periods of REM (dreaming time) and non-REM. One sleep cycle lasts around 90 minutes, so I think what people are saying is that it's best to wake between cycles rather than in the middle of one. I don't think this is necessary if you want to WILD. It just helps. I don't know about the hallucinations.

I can answer about the hallucinations. Most people don't have hallucinations that appear to be in the world, but if they do they generally occur in sleep paralysis. This means that you cannot move any part of your body, with your eyes being the exception. The hallucinations are usually only patterns of light or images that you see behind closed eyelids. But some people have seen shadowy figures or other (usually terrifying0 things in the real worlds. The former are really rare, most people do not have these waking world hallucinations. If they do they have the option to close their eyes, then they will usually onle get the patterns of light and sound hallucinations. Usually people can choose if they want visual (eyes open) or sound (eyes closed) hallucinations, other times they can get both with eyes open.

Hope I helped, if you have any other questions ask. I've researched the topic to death

Drink a lot of water so that when you wake up in the middle of the night you have to go to the bathroom. You will have woken up right AFTER your REM cycle. You actually wake up after most of them, but it's only for an instant and you forget it.

WILDs usually make the most vivid and longest dreams (remember there are always eceptions with dreams). Should attemp after you have some sleep (right after one of the later rem stages). Basically so your still relaxed enough to fall asleep again, and to keep your mind just awake enough. You should focus on trying to have an OBE after you get better at dream control and stability. That stuff's is hard.
