      Idea for a funny prank

I love pranks. I just love them. I love good ole Remi Gailard style jump-into-a-drivethrough-window-and-grab-a-cup-of-water type prank.

You'd have to be pretty much insane to try out this one, but, who knows. Maybe I'd get lucky and some saintly youtuber would risk jail.

What if you went to a good area. A good area of the suburbs. On some summer afternoon, and just walked up, opened the front door and mozied on in. Sneak around until you found someone. Let's just say they were watching TV, or using the internet. Then, you scream at the top of your lungs. They turn around, see you, and

      a. Jump back in terror

      b. Fall to the floor

      c.Scream in response

d.Throw whatever was in their hand at you

      e. Chase after you

      f. All of the above

Anyways, in theory, you would get the heck outta there quick as your feet could carry you, and they would be too dumbfounded to immeditely chase after you.

In the United States, you can be pretty much sure it could get you anything short of the death penalty....

...but it sure would be funny on camera.

*This post is just meant for humorous contemplation. To generate some laughs. I would never try this, and I would never advise someone to try it. It would be rude, unlawful, immature, and very low class.

Haha, wow. I'd love to see someone actually attempt that, as long as it's not on their conscience afterwards.

It's a good thing I lock my door at all times

Plus, that's trespassing. Remi was in the public usually (except that mall which is technically private property, but it's a public place)

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

my dad has that sign in his window, hehe.

anyway I love pranks too, but this is not funny to me. then again, I think actually doing the classic fake mustache + get back in line gag would be hilarious. I mean you see it in cartoons and movies etc all the time and it's rarely funny. but if I actually saw someone do it, I think I'd piss myself laughing.

Same. I've been bordering paranoid about people coming into my house since it happened before in my old one. And thanks!

      this one is fucking awesome

Let's start listing some ideas here. If we get some good ones, I might give them a try (provided they won't get me arrested )

Later, I'm going to borrow my friend's gorilla suit and go buy some banannas.

Well, yes. Most pranks don't have any point other than to entertain.

Yeah, a man broke into the window of my house; he thought he lived there. Although he was just walking around, it scared the shit out of me, thank goodness my mom was in the house to call the police.

      Good grief.

...do you ever look back on it and laugh? because, if you do, then see, in the long run, it could be funny for everyone.

Yes, I have laughed over it before.

And speaking of pranks: I superglued a penny to the sidewalk once, but that's the extent of what I've done with them.

who would pick up a penny?

maybe a nickel or dime, but pennies aren't worth the trip.

How much money would there have to be in a urinal before you pick it up?

I think the prank would be better if you acted like you belonged there, like, instead of scaring them, sit on the couch and act like it's your house, just pretend to get scared and scream at them or something, it'll sure confuse the hell out of them

Home intruders are actually pretty common, usually just homeless drug addicts at night. There's nothing really funny about them... I think most people's first reaction to this "prank" would be violence, which makes it a pretty poor prank.

The key to this prank is the element of surprise. Subtlety is only a factor whilst walking in. In theory, you would encounter them while they were at ease. Like, watching TV or something. And then, as quickly as you possibly can scare them to death, and get out just as quickly. In theory, it would all unfold to fast for them to hurt you.

A much better version is to heat a penny over a Bunsen burner in a Chemistry lesson and then drop it on the floor.

it depends on, like, how grody it is. if it's not bad I might pick up one dollar. it can be washed.

Yes, but you could encounter them while not at ease. Such as making love or cleaning their guns...

Then you could do the following:

      A. If they haven't seen you yet, quietly slink away

B.If they have seen you already, and you are not in immediate danger (I.E, they don't have a gun in their hands) just pretend to be an unwitting and confused foreigner. If you can't pull of a foreigner...

C.Just apologize sincerely, quickly explaining that you bought a new home online, and erroneously thought this one belonged to you. If you are apologetic enough, it might work. If not, option D is probably your best option...

D.Run run. As fast as you can.

Alternatively, if you have already said BOO (or whatever other method you may theoretically choose), and realized too late that they were not at ease, option D is probably your safest bet.
