Thread: Looking for a title to scifi book ? - Help

I recently started reading a book that my son had brought home from school.
It was quite interesting, but half way through reading, it disappeared. ( Went back to school)
I had a search, but can not find the book, or its title.

Storyline
Earth has been in a region of space which slows down human thinking.
As it emerges from the cloud/area people start to get smarter.
Clever people become genius.
Dumb people become very clever.
Even animals get smarter.

The book cover may have an image of a layered human head on.
ANY IDEAS?

No, never read that book, but good luck. I've been in that situation before a couple of times - remembering the story of a book I've read and even the cover, and resorting to asking people on DV.

Wouldn't the easiest thing just be to ask your son?

If you remember a sentence with some not so common words in it, have you tried googling for that sentence? It may show you hits from Google Books or some pdfs.

You will love the bit about the addict, sitting in a doorway, depressed, pondering the meaning of life.
