Guys, I figured it out. Thanks to my cryptography class, I came to realize that this is a simple playfair cypher!

First, I had to find the key word. Playfair cyphers depend on words to be in pairs. The only combination of letters that doesn't make a pair is in the title of the post: w0av8ec. Seven letters means that it's likely the key word. So we put that in our playfair square, which is now 6x6 because of the inclusion of numbers:
