Wow I thought I was the only one. I do have like a made up world, literally like a WORLD with different civilisations on it but it goes nowhere near as deep as actual elements. Except for the people (and species) and continental shapes it's just like Earth. I know it's very wierd and I'm not sure of the purpose it serves. It can be a little obsessive.

Now, my little job I have, every friday is this, sit down, take one piece of newspaper, take another, put together, fold on middle. When I have done this 240 times, I put them into a super market wagon thingy, and go put these in peoples mail boxes. No thinking required. At all.
So this gives me loads of time to think about anything.

Last time, I attempted to find a well working fencing system for some RPG game. In the end it ended up as 'Cheesewheel Fencing' where you put 4 directions on a disc, and then use parry / attack based off where the two are pointing.

Other times, it's been making of my own little world, I'll start by making the races (Usually 3-4, if it goes over, I lose, because I can't write it down at that moment.) then I make a loose map in my head and maybe a tiny story.
Wow, I used to do the same thing when I had a folderingjob like that . Using that useless time to think about stuff (gamedeveloping for example), that is.

      Scenarios.
      Endless scenarios...calculations...scripts.

      Infinite fields of space.
Meditation routines, constant reminders. Aches of fore-sight.

      Anxieties, attachments, more reminders.

      Silence, reminders, silence.

More scenarios, the motion of thought.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

That's totally awesome, and totally NOT how I ever create worlds. I usually go by races, the world and the story (Which is, slightly easier to keep in the head, than all your information and systems)

I mean, you have so many things in there D:
I didn't read any of the Elemental systems, I looked at the pictures and, gah. There's like so much.

When I create one, I'm usually observing and developing around a few characters. It seems like you have alot of focus on whole species instead.
      Kinda cool.
It's nothing I would ever want to create, really. Not in the same way, that's what I find really interesting.

Maybe I should get a world together in one pig page like you did...

      I hope I made sense, I'm tired.
Well, because it's so very different from our world, I decided I should start from the most basic of things and build my way up. That Elemental System is obsolete now, as I have developed one of my own.

I'm trying to go with a top-down approach with this so I can have as consistent a continuity as possible. That's why I did it this way.

The whole reason I ended up making this is because I had a story to tell and when I started developing the setting it kind of just ran away with out me.

I already have several ideas for novels. The best thing about having this much content about the world is that it sometimes feels like the stories write themselves.

I'm hoping to start work on my first novel after I update that document with the new Elemental System. Which is proving to be a task because it changes so much throughout the document.

I keep my imagination in a little box, under latch and key. Damn, that thing is vicious. I can't keep it from setting things on fire. Last time I tried to pet it the feral thing bit me! The grafitti within the box describes a massive apocalypse brought on by magnified paranoia.
