iseeu, I don't think you realise just how angry these tent city inmates are when they get out, they make public death threats to the sheriff.

No, I guess I don't. I just know the kind that go about spreading the gospel and the word of the lord around while downing a beer or two or a six pack. They are not angry, they're just born again.

Death threats to the sheriff, woe, that's heavy!

Yup, he's quite hated out here, but then theres the old senior citizen crowd who loves sheriff joe because of his racial profiling, alot of racists down here, they hate mexicans and they love joe deporting them.

What a wonderful world we live in.

Funny thing is, they get deported, and they sneak back in a month later, talk about a good use of tax dollars

they should go and arrest those 60,000 felons loose in phoenix, not deport illegals that will cross the border next week or month.

The illegal immigration problem must be solved by the federal government, not these rogue cops.

Maybe they've run out of pink underwear and can't afford to arrest 'em!

      hehe, good one

I personally wouldn't mind the pink underwear, but the rest would be torturous.

Joe was on MSNBC today. They had him talk about illegal immigration. I think you can guess which side he is on. The interviewer actually asked this question: do you think the U.S. should handle immigration the same way you do? Which is an obvious set me up question. He was all full of himself with a "yes, of course" or something like that. Then he went on to say more cliche conservative things before I turned it off.

Sorry for resurrecting this dying thread but... CLEAR. ZAP.

Meh, I hope those punks who threaten Joe actually hurt him one of these days, so he can't run for re-election.

Lately in phoenix, people have been spray painting graffiti saying:

"Nazi Joe" and a picture of him underneath

He is a wanted man, and his days are numbered, the day he leaves office, is the day phoenix celebrates, a celebration of freedom from the tyranny of his evil sheriff posse.

They pull over people for any reason, if your skin is brown, your getting pulled over...if your young, your getting pulled over....etc

      The list goes on.

ALSO, he arrests people who have cannabis stems in their car, if you have ONE seed or stem or crumb of cannabis, its off to tent city, with rapists and murderers

      Sound fair? no

He said once that marijuana is just as bad as heroin and anyone caught should be jailed.

If I was going to be jailed for as something as petty as marijuana possession, I'd seriously consider going on a massive genocide first.

Although I believe true criminals deserve as much, I can't help but feel the greatest of empathy for the roughly 3,000 innocent people wrongfully convicted each month... Due to the stubborn traditionalist views of the American Legal System, arrests are still made on grounds of eyewitness testimony and circumstantial evidence. DNA testing can't exonerate everyone, it seems.

No one ever stops to think just how many of those prisoners who say "But I'm innocent I tell ya!" are actually telling the truth. The numbers are pretty scary, and it could one day easily be any one of us normal folk...

Prison shouldn't be luxurious or anything but that is way too harsh. I think this sheriff guy should get a taste of his own medicine.

      He should, but he won't.

He has stated that he will keep running for re-election until the day he dies...wonderful!

      <--My apologies to Amaze O-->

I too have concerns about innocents having to endure bad prison conditions. I have a more radical solution. And it concerns repeat offenders. Most convicts are repeat offenders, after all. How about killing them? These men have clearly disregarded society by repeatedly breaking our laws (say three times?). They offer nothing constructive towards the greater good, so they fail to serve any positive purpose in the wider society whatsoever. So, kill them. Reduced prison populations, less crime, what's not to like?

In the past, people got their hands cut off for stealing. That didn't stop anything.

Criminals need help. There's a reason that their doing what they are. Thats why when people do something deemed weird, people might ask "Do you have a problem?"
Criminals have problems. Kicking them in the nuts won't solve those problems. If we think that, then we might aswell just get it over with and shoot them in the head.
