Also, my mom has been without a mailbox for several years due to snowplows getting brutal with it. She got a P.O. Box later, but was without a mailbox for a while.

Finished wk 6 of academy. Passed my ladders test and that's where past academies lose people, and all of our cadets passed

WTG Armistice!!

My goals for today are grocery shopping, going to the Farm, sealing the broken window the cats keep getting through, trying to fix the dryer again, getting some clothes washed, turning on the Furnace again to dry them, trouble shooting the phone and whatever else I can squeeze in.

I'll be back in town either tomorrow or Friday.

Well, we did a PT assessment today. got 50 pushups, personal best from 47, and ran a 1.5mi time at 10:49, personal best from 11:30, so I was way stoaked about that

Goals:
Be better to the people I love.
Be better to the people I meet on the street, or at my job.
Draw more.
Dance more.

Accomplishments:
I got to see both my mother and father in the same day.
My coworker laughed and seemed like she enjoyed our shared hours.
I made some people smile.
I came back to this thread, as planned.

My plans are:
- Design/properly label aforementioned box now that it's been acquired.
- Put stuff in box!
- Make card!
- Hang out with people more often, do more parkour.

May be fulfilling that last goal tonight if all pans out correctly. Dry and cool outside tonight, gonna head into town and hit up a park, gonna be fun and I'm gonna use it as a means to improve my physical being!

I hope your project is coming along nicely, Clyde.

My goals for today are simple: Go grocery shopping, head back up to the Farm.
I got a new socket set, so I'm going to try, once again, to fix the dryer. If that fails (again), I already bought clothes pins to hang clothes up outside. I've been wearing the same dress for a week and bought new undies.

Tomorrow, however, I'm coming back into town, throwing on some dirty jeans and crawling under the trailer to install new heating ducts. I must remember to bring my hammer and nails from the Farm as well as some wire cutters.

At the risk of turning this into a "baww" thread, I'll simply say that things aren't going smoothly, but that I won't let it get me down or set me back.

So! Today's goal: apply for 5 jobs before 6PM, then apply for 5 more by midnight. Hopefully will be able to repeat for tomorrow.
I also wish to call about a recent interview I did, to see how my application's status is.
And, to pick up a thing or two to add to the aforementioned box. At least that part's going well.

I've found a few job openings. One is in Texas, and actually would really like to do that rather than my second option oddly enough... lol

But either one would be totally awesome

Today has been slow but tiring. I put some of the siding back up under the Trailer. I crawled under and tried replacing the ducting. The wire cutters I have are crap and I need a socket set. I got most of the old stuff down, but I'll have to return to it later this week. I also discovered we have another water leak somewhere *sigh* So I disconnected the water source inside. We'll turn it on for cleaning, bathing, etc, but shut if off the rest of the time (especially when we're at the Farm!)
I banged my head, hard, coming up from under the trailer.

I think I'm going to go back to sleep for a couple hours. Then I need to get a $50. advance from hubby, pick up a few things at the store- some food, oil then gas- and then it's back to the Farm with us until who knows when. My oldest daughter was suspended from school last week. I need to go to the school to talk to them (suspension doesn't officially start until I speak with the Principal). I also need to get in touch with the Officer in charge of the school. I tried last week but only got his voice mail.
On Friday, my daughters go to Court for Truancy. They'll probably be shipped off to a facility for a month or so. It's their third offense.

The phone company is sending a repair crew to the Farm to see why our phone STILL isn't working. I still need to call the handiman to have him repair the water leak at the Farm. I still need to fix the dryer. I still need to find something clean to wear.
I need to clean out the birds cage.
I need to try to catch the Buttercup and the Scroungies (nearly feral cat and kittens) to bring them to the Farm.
I have a p-doc app on Wednesday.

What I'm GOING to do, however, is play Fallout New Vegas tonight at the Farm and tackle the world tomorrow. I don't have any more energy today.

I hope I do too. I can't find the application for my second option through my searches and it's frustrating. It's like they hid it on purpose

You'll have to say how Fallout is. I was looking at it last night. Doesn't look as good as Fallout 3. Is it still set in an Alternate 1950's?

Cleaned out our Shop today.... and my god. We threw out so much. And kept alot of it to. For the record, I work in a Communication store, and the computer department is moving out.Yesterday we more less finished setting up the new shop. Today we cleaned the old one out.

For the next week, we have about 60 DSL installations, Plus moving all the stuff into the new shop. And getting ready for the opening for next Monday. So this weekend is looking to be a freaking nightmare, but I'm excited as hell for the new shop opening

Daily goals? Hmm, my goal today is to figure out my life goals...

How about that for a goal? Hah, yeah I know I won't completely accomplish it, but it's important to set things straight, or at least as much things that I can right now.

I'm back at the Trailer today. I had to talk to the Principal in person and thankfully, the suspension was retro-active. She goes back to school tomorrow, but I have to take her so we can talk to the Officer. She had a warrant filed against her for stealing someone's Kindle. I have no idea what's going to come of that.

On the way from the Farm to the school, my car was smoking so badly I had to pull over. I have a severe oil leak.
When hubby gets home from work, I need to see what he wants to do about it.

Shortly, I'm going to try to install the ducting. Crap... I forgot my socket set.

Fallout New Vegas isn't nearly as good as 3. The music sucks lol. But I love the game nonetheless. Food and drink now heal over time instead of immediately which is the worst thing. One thing I like more is that you can harvest plants and use a campfire to make food and poison. There's a new skill "Survival". One of the worst changes is that you can raise specialties only every other time you actually level up. But you still get to raise base skills (Barter, guns etc).
You can get 4 houses, but none of them are close to where you start out at.
You also have factions (Legion, NCR, Powder Ganger etc). Raising or lowering reputation with them leads to either new quest options or attempted KOS from enemies. There's also faction armor which, if you wear it, will either allow you to pass more easily through enemy territory, or get's you attacked.
My main complaints are the music and leveling system.
My sons have played more than me and are further and they say it seems as if the game was rushed. Without the patch, you get glitches and freeze and such.

This game seems harder than the last one. There's a hardcore mode with this one (ammo has weight, you're affected by hunger and thirst, stimpaks heal over time) but it's optional.

Back on topic:
One of my goals for today is to come up with a family menu. I want to start exercising and keeping my calories under 2500. I may start a thread in Health about it...

I completed much of my goals from my earlier post, though I only applied for maybe 7 jobs that night. Two interviews lined up tomorrow, need to cancel on the less auspicious of the two, for a number of reasons.

- Pack n mail box tomorrow!!

- Play a little Fallout 3 finally!

My p-doc gave me some Provigil (bless him), so I'm off the caffeine pills. And now I have more energy to boot. I had a weird dream last night that I must remember to record.
That's goal #1
Goal 2 is to buy a E-cig and some cartridges *WOOT* Hopefully, it will help me quit my cigarette habit.
THEN, I have to take my daughters to court for truancy. I'm very nervous about what's going to happen.

Yesterday, a wolf spider was in my clothes and bit me several times. I hadn't slept the night before, so I crashed for a LONG time. Before that, it was my allergies. Today, I MUST work on the ducting. I can't make any more excuses. I have my socket set and everything I need.
After that, we're going to go buy and few more groceries and pet food then head back to the Farm and I'll play New Vegas some more.
My son found an awesome glitch. Within an hour, he was level 30. I created a new game and did the same thing. I've gone on line and written down all the snow globe and book locations. So, I have a lot of leisurely gaming to look forward to

After today, I probably wont be on line again until Wednesday.

I bought my E-cig; went to Court; dropped kids off at school.
The Court said I am to attend school with them through December. I spend my morning at the Highschool with my 15 year old daughter and the afternoon with my 13 year old daughter at the Middle School. If we miss even one day, I could be sent to jail for 5-20 days and they will be placed in a facility with an on-ground school.
